We are a well established small animal veterinary practice in Eltham, South East London. The practice is the longest running veterinary surgery in the area and was set up just before the Second World War. Dr Wakeem took over the practice and ran it till he retired in 1990. The practice was then taken over by Dr Sinclair who has made sure the practice has remained an independent veterinary surgery throughout this time and will remain this way. This means that the practice is run by vets, ensuring your pets are our top priority.
We are able to treat a variety of small animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents and birds.
We have a highly experienced team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, a student veterinary nurse, an animal nursing assistant, a receptionist and support staff available to provide you and your pet with a professional, friendly and caring service. All of our staff members are fully trained and amongst us have a wealth of experience. All of our registered nurses have keen interests in certain areas and two of them have additional qualifications including nutrition, feline nursing and emergency and critical care. All our staff must undertake continued professional development (CPD) during the year to keep their knowledge up to date and is a requirement of the RCVS.
We are a registered training practice which means that we are able to train the next generation of veterinary nurses. We are also occasionally able to offer placements for student veterinary surgeons and college students needing work experience placements for animal related diplomas. The practice and its training staff are assessed up to twice a year to ensure certain standards are met.
We prioritise our patients and treat every animal as if they were our own. You can rest assured that if you decide to bring your pets to us, we will offer the highest level of care possible. We are always willing to try and help the best we can, even if it’s just a friendly face to talk to.
We look forward to welcoming you and your pets to the practice soon.
